What It Takes 2 B a Musician... ?

The Question that generally comes to my mind is "What does it take to be successful known musician?" The answer is a huge mystery for majority of the People/Musicians.

Before I can answer myself with the above question, a series of questions strike my mind again..

1.) Can every one do it or does it takes some inborn talent or something.. ??

2.) Is it about You have to get lucky, and to do that you need to be in the right place and hitting it at the right time..??

3.) Or is it that You need to have connections with important people in the industry...??

But Since Now I am into music from more than 7 years... have seen this industry a lot.. from the Ruling of Record labels to Piracy ruining away the So called 'Record Labels'. I have seen people struggle and achieve. I have seen people struggle and give up... I ask what difference the two have... Is it the talent...?? Is it the Luck..?? Is It marketing...?? .. Or is it something else...

Well through all these years what I've learned is the only factor that dominates this game is "PERSISTANCE and HARDWORK"..

The Point is if you are Lucky, you may get there in 3 years... If you are a little less lucky you may get there in 7.. If you are absolutely unlucky you may get it in 10 years... But if you are doing it whole heartedly. doing it continuously. You will get it..!!

Let me tell you All these record labels. The Music Channels.. The radio Channels.. The kids of renowned Musician.. All have very bright chances.. but does majority of them make it... NO !!

You will develope talent through hardwork... you will develop contacts sooner or later through persistence... You will do it.. All you need is follow these 2 words PERSISTENCE and HARDWORK...

People Say that I am talented.. People say that I am god gifted 2 in writing lyrics... etc etc...

I ask them, have they seen me struggling through nights writing lyrics and making guitar chops.. Have they seen my mind always absent when I am thinking about a song .. or its marketing.. or its music arrangement.

So my advice to those seeking a career in music is:

01. Focus on your your strengths, look and analyse the value you have to offer the industry. Improve upon the week areas.

02. Work Continuously on your songwriting and composing.

03. Don't listen to anyone who doesn't have a self experience, who hasn't actually "lived in the industry". Learn it from someone who has experienced all by himself. Right from Record selling of your album to Concert tours, get hold of the right guy and learn it from him, not just from anyone. Prefer learning from some one who has experience as a live musucian not just a regural school teacher.

04. Be clear in your thoughts, be clear in your approach, be certain you know exactly why you want to become a professional musician. This can sound a little pointless to you, but people generally want more from inside than what is on their surface.

I wish you all a very best of luck. God Bless..!!
